Dashain-hilsen fra Nepal

I dag starter Dashain, den viktigste festivalen i Nepal. Den symboliserer gode krefters seier over ondskap. Dette budskapet kommer fra Dr. Biraj Karmacharya ved vår samarbeidspartner, Dhulikhel Hospital:

«Dashain Greetings to all, but most importantly to the FRONT-LINERS!!

This has been a strange year – full of fear, uncertainty and confusions. Despite all, what fills our heart with joy is that all of us never hesitated to come to the front to serve others in things within and sometimes beyond our capacity. We have tolerated hardships and financial compromises but never gave up an inch to support others. May this Dashain strengthen our faith and dedication for humanity and may we all continue to work together like a family as we have done till now. Together, we shall emerge victorious!!

Stay and celebrate safe. The greatest gift you might give to your elders this Dashain would be a socially distanced celebration. It might well be a gift of life to them.»

Ultralydapparatet er tatt i bruk!

Tusen takk til alle medlemmer og støttespillere som har deltatt i spleiselaget på ultralydapparat til Dolakha Hospital (tidligere kalt Gaurishankar Hospital).

Takket være deres generøse bidrag, var vi i stand til å kjøpe et egnet apparat direkte fra produsenten, Hitachi i Japan, som sendte det til Nepal. Slik blir også alle finansielle forhold helt gjennomsiktige og sporbare.

Apparatet har nå blitt installert i sykehuset, og personalet har mottatt opplæring. Ultralydapparatet brukes nå jevnlig til diagnostisering og har vært nyttig under flere barnefødsler allerede.

I am happy to let you know that the USG machine has been received and installed in Dolakha Hospital and it’s already started to provide the services. Furthermore, I would like to inform you that in the midst of this pandemic situation Dolakha Hospital has safely conducted two newborn deliveries; one normal and another by cesarean and section. So, the USG machine is already in use and a great help for our local health service provider as well as to the health service receiver. Thank you so much for your support.»
