NepaliMed Norway is a Norwegian membership organization, with its roots in the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and St. Olavs Hospital in Trondheim, Norway. Since 2008, NTNU has cooperated with Dhulikhel Hospital which is a teaching hospital at Kathmandu University.

In a country that is both one of the worlds poorest, and also one of the most corrupt, Dhulikhel Hospitals social profile is both extremely needed and rare. Dhulikhel Hospital is situated right outside of Kathmandu and covers a populations of over 1,9 million people from surrounding areas. They also run 18 small outpost hospitals in poor and remote villages in Nepal, where patient normally don’t have the means or money to reach the hospital themselves.
